Pisgah State Park in Chesterfield, NH is an absolute jewel.  I try to hike the trails with Quicken as often as I can during the summer.  We actually hiked the same loop last year on Christmas day!

The trails are beautifully maintained.  My favorite loop is a 2 1/2 hour hike starting at the Horseshoe Rd. parking area in Chesterfield, NH.  Head down the main trail and take your first right onto the Old Chesterfield Rd. trail.  Go about a 1/2 mile and when you come to a park gate, go left onto Hubbard Hill trail.

Stay on the Hubbard Hill Trail to the vista outlook.  You have views to the west of Mount Snow and Stratton Mountain.  Continue down the trail, bearing left onto the Baker Pond trail.  The trail winds along the banks of this pristine pond for a 1/2 mile or so.

When you come to the next junction, go left onto the Resevoir Rd. trail back to the parking lot.  Very quiet.  I rarely meet anyone.  Bring water for dogs.
